DISNEY IDEOLOGY offers an ideological critique of the Walt Disney Company, analysing it as a capitalist entity shaping cultural perceptions of happiness, social advancement, and societal change through media. The project accompanies the German film and ideology critic Wolfgang M. Schmitt as he posits the argument that Disney promotes a “capitalist religion” encouraging consumerism and merging storytelling with corporate interests.

The Düsseldorf-based filmmaker and video producer Moritz Terwesten made his feature directorial debut in 2025 with his documentary essay STERBEN OHNE GOTT.
