Astrange epidemic grips the planet: people suffer severe panic attacks, literally float away and vanish! The police have set their old hand, Inspector Hanta, on the case and appointed the expert Professor Falk to assist. So far, so routine, till they meet a young woman called Anne, who, once bitten by a honey badger, no longer feels fear at all. But this is not good news for the leading pharmaceutical company, HancockPeck, which now faces losing control over the epidemic. Nor is it good for brothers Widu and Remi, two small-time criminals, who risk losing the gift of their lifetime. And meanwhile everyone else continues to ask themselves how fear and love interact and whether the world can still be saved, assuming that’s what they want anyway.
